What a weekend for college football! As a Vanderbilt fan I must say that I was not too happy with their performance against the University of Tennessee this weekend. The only good part of that game was the fact that ESPNU was in beautiful HD on my DIRECTV.  Although viewing the game in HD can make watching blown calls by the officials even more painful, overall, it makes for a much better experience (yes I am bitter, and yes I am a sore loser). But if you were in Shelbyville and wanted to see the fleas jumping for joy on Smokey’s back last night, then you needed DIRECTV. ESPNU is one of those channels that you will not see in HD on Charter or even Dish Network.

While most people agree that at some point all channels will be HD, for now, which channels are carried in HD is something to consider when looking at a service provider.  As a retailer for Charter, Dish Network, Comcast Xfinity, and DIRECTV, we are often asked which provider is best. While there are many opinions on this subject, at the end of the day the answer may be different depending on your situation and your needs. What channels are important to you? What features are you looking for? How much are you wanting to spend on your TV service? These types of questions are why we are here. Come by the store and bring a copy of your current bill. We can take a look at it and help you review your options and find what fits you best.

As an avid sports fan, I watch more sports games than you can shake a stick at…usually more than my wife cares for! With all of the sports programming and sports packages out there, it makes it easy to become somewhat of an addict. Anyone who knows me knows I am a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. The abysmal ending to this year’s season for the Sox put me in a little bit of a slump. Luckily, DIRECTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket has been there to help pull me out of it! Of course I am a fan of the Tennessee Titans, but being involved in several Fantasy Football leagues keeps me intrigued with many games around the league.

NFL Sunday ticket allows me to watch any game I want or all of them at once from anywhere! Whether it is in airport in California on my IPad, in the car on the way back from Ohio on my phone, or mission control (a.k.a. my recliner) I am always in the know. NFL Sunday ticket is just one of the many sports packages DIRECTV has to offer including MLB Extra Innings, NASCAR Hot Pass, NBA League Pass, NHL Center Ice, ESPN Game Plan, and more; however, Sunday Ticket is EXCLUSIVE to DIRECTV. While DIRECTV is my choice provider, we at EnterSource can get to know your interests and set you up with a service that best fits your needs or addictions whether its Charter, Dish Network, Comcast Xfinity, or DIRECTV. EnterSource can always provide the biggest bang for your buck

Normally I am not real big on change.  I am so used to the menu and remote on my DIRECTV system that I can navigate through it with my eyes closed. Really I can.  Sometimes I do it just to play little games with myself.  I am a pretty competitive guy.  So when DIRECTV announced their new HD menu, I was very reluctant.  I was afraid I wouldn’t like it.  I was WRONG!

This new interactive HD menu is incredible.  You press the menu and you feel like you are stepping into the future.  Navigating through the menu is a breeze and man is it fast.  Some of the new features are the upgraded search features.  Search by titles, people, channels, keywords and recent searches. It even learns what you like and makes suggestions for other shows you might like.

Go to Extras and you can see messages, check out the weather and the most popular shows by selecting Active.  Even go to the game lounge and play.  Go to settings and you can very easily set parental controls or favorite channels.  Come by our showroom and let one of our DIRECTV experts show you.  See if you don’t think it is as cool as I do.
